Configuring validation rules

The rules engine: per-document and cross-document checks, severities, pass rates, Excel import and overrides.

Audience · Administrators /config/rules

Rules are the core of automatic checking: each verifies one compliance condition — presence of a mention, technical threshold, date consistency. “Document” rules apply to a single piece; “Cross-document” rules cross several pieces (quote vs invoice, statement vs audit…).

Each rule has a severity: error (blocks approval), warning (flags without blocking) or info. The “passed / total” statistics per rule show its real behaviour — a rule failing on 90% of dossiers deserves review or better installer guidance.

System rules are shared; your client rules can be toggled individually. Excel import (template provided) creates rules in bulk, and the “Overrides” page keeps the history of every manual validation made by validators.

Each rule shows its severity (error, warning, info) and its application statistics over processed dossiers.

Steps

  1. Open Configuration → RulesThe “All” tab gives the full view; “Document” and “Cross-document” tabs filter by scope.
  2. Analyse the statisticsThe passed/total ratio per rule reveals checks that are problematic in practice.
  3. Adjust your client rulesToggle your own rules on or off — system rules stay fixed.
  4. Bulk import via ExcelDownload the xlsx template, fill in your rules, re-import: handy to align a complete repository.
  5. Review the override historyThe Overrides page lists every manual validation with its reason: your audit trail.
